Is the 'Shettles Method' the only theory on determining gender based on position? Some say this is an old wives tale-others tout increased percentages of success by using it (missionary for girl vs. rear entry for boy). What is the scientific, medical consensus on this? Can you increase the odds by position?

The sex of the child is only determined by the mans sperm that is some crazy stuff you just said.

This is an old wives tale. The sex of the baby is determined by the chromosomes carried in your sperm. You can't change what sperm fertilizes your wifes egg. Men have XY chromosome while females are born with XY. I had sex on top, and I had a son. But, I don't think I would be buying dresses right now if I'd been on my back. You can't choose what you get, sorry. Good luck!

according to a book I read when I was trying to get pregnant, there have been some studies that have had some pretty surprising results....showing that the boy-making sperm are better swimmers and will defy gravity a bit better than the girl-making sperm. Meaning that the missionary position would be better to produce a girl child and with the female on top would be better to produce a boy child.....hope this helps....

sexual positions have no basis on the gender of a child. the gender is determined by the sperm. this is all biological stuff. women only have x chromosomes. as far as for a man's, if a y sperm connects with the egg, its a boy, if an x sperm connects with the egg, its a girl.

That's a myth (ol' wives-tale)...... The female and male sperm are mixed (combined together)....... The male die faster than female, but, just depends on which makes it to the egg first.... I like doggy style (TMI -LOL), and I have 2 girls........ Same thing as """I can tell if its a boy or girl from the way your carrying""" I was suppose to have a boy...... LOL -

For a girl - do not have an orgasm when he does and for a boy, you both should have orgasms at the same time. So, I guess it depends on the sexual position - what turns you both on and do you want a boy or a girl? Good luck.

go on the web and type in ancient chinese gender chart it predicts a babys sex by the age of the mother and the month she concieved i planned my daughter using it and it works i have never seen it be wrong
