Dean R. Koontz -- "Watchers".
It was the first book that I ever read by him and it started me down a long road of interest in things governmental. It was the secret program that was described in the book that made me start to look at things that are and are not. I was a teen ager at the time, and was not interested in the world around me in any way, except for the metal bands I was into and my friends, but it was a depth of description of something fascinating that made me start to look at the world around me and investigate. The learning that took place after that has made me become the person I am today. I had to look at who I was, and why I did things, and what the driving forces were behind things I was experiencing. Not everything out there happens because of "big government" and "black list projects" but there are some, and there are other forces you find out about if you just start looking.
And "Watchers" started it all.
Hope this answers your question and you find others as well.

Clearly the Bible has completely changed the way most people view the world. Jesus taught the world in a way that no one ever had done before. He gave his life to save the world and all who are willing to trust him.
In addition, Darwin's Proof subtitled "The Triumph of Religion over Science" by Cornelious G. Hunter. As an engineer this book changed my world view of Evolution and if Darwin were alive today I am sure it would change his view as well !!!!
Another book "In Six Days" subtitled "Whey fifty scientists choose to believe in creation" By John F. Ashton PHD. Each of the 50 short chapters were written by world renowned PHD scientists covering all scientific disciplines. Some have won the Nobel prize

Yes and it was not the bible. However it is of Spiritual nature. Basically much of what i learnt while I was growing I questioned. In my questioning I came across many good books that guided me in new directions. The National Geographic Magazines also have many articles that touch me very deeply. I love the fact that I live in an age where we can learn as much as we want to :-)

Yes, but not totally. The book just helped me see things in a better light. I am referring to Henri Nowen's book, Life of the Beloved.

Yes I read a book by Ronan Tynan and I realized success is an offshoot of enthusiasm. Also there is nothing wrong with changing your goals.

yes. it was when i saw the movie "siddartha" in the seventies. that led me to read the great herman hesse book "siddartha" and i later had the chance to meet and interview the leader of the nicheron buddhist movement from japan. i was in awe. you could feel the chrisma. i met a lot people in interviews and was never fumbling for words. so i have always been interested in buddhism ever since. after all this time i think it offers a far more realistic and practical way to run your life.
