What would you say having your own individual style really is? Is it not following any of the latest fashions at all and wearing whatever you like. Or is it not being a wannabe i.e. only dressing in what is the latest fashion - but still dressing in stylish clothes that you find in shops but aren't necessarily short mini skirts or tight jeans but say accessorising them with leggings for example?

I was just wondering whether you could say I have an individual style? Recently I just found a funky long skirt in Spain [which isn't the lastest style that's 'in'] but I wore leggings with it and a cropped cardigan.
What would you guys say?

Individual style, to me, is wearing whatever you feel that YOU look best in and feel most comfortable or sexy in.. no matter what everyone else is wearing. For example.. the leggings thing. A VERY VERY tiny percentage of people actually look good in leggings.. a very very large percentage looks horendous in them... but they wore them anyway, because it was "in style" and to me, that shows a TOTAL lack of individual style. People should wear what looks good on their bodies.. not whats in fashion

Well for one, Europe usually finds out the style before America does. But if you really like it and don't live by the latest fashion then wear it. You don't have to follow what everyone says to wear. People would look at you worse if you were wearing rags than nice clothing.

It sounds like a cute skirt. I would say having your own style....well everyone has thier own even if it is just like everyone elses. I would say just wear what you want. I think more individual style is wearing what you wanna wear rather then what other people wear. Even if it is trendy like it because you like it. Like when ponchos were popular i just got them because they were trendy. Now I look and go that is totally ugly. haha So just go with whatever. Celebrities wear stuff that isn;t what everyone else wears and alot of people look up to them for that. Also somtimes they spend alot of money of stuff you could buy at a store for like 10 bucks

Individual style is when you wear what you`re Comfortable in, not following trends just dress in a way when you don`t to impress anyone else with your taste in clothes.It means not to care absolutely what others might say but be stubborn on your own..... That`s how i understand it but understanding(about this stuff)is all relative

~~~I think what ever you feel comfortable in ,,,and shows a bit of your personality shows your individual style. Also I say,,,try not to go to trendy,,,unless that is who you are.....there are people who are classic,,,they tend to like to wear crisp dress suits with todays fashion colors,,,there is conservitive,,,,they like to wear button up, cover everything,,,the free spirited where fun colors,loose flowing clothes,,,,its just who ever you want to be when you wake up in the morning,,,,thats why clothes are so fun,,,,be who you want ,,,,dress in what makes you feel good and confident about yourself,,,,,,,,,,
Individual style is what YOU like not what's in.It is how you view clothes, fashion, hairstyles, and your personal view on everything with fashion.....it's you view on fashion, and your view of all that fashion is.! just be yourself and wear what you like and wnat :)
