My computer says my wireless is turned of. But when I right click it there is a check mark next to wireless on

Then when I try to enable to connect it just keeps trying to enable is there a switch on my computer that is turned off???

Normally there is a switch somewhere on the laptop. On some it is a physical switch but on most it is turned on with the keyboard, look at the "F1-F12" keys and see if there is a symbol that may indicate a radio transmitter.
Also it could be that you need to hold down the FN key or ctrl + the F1-F12 key to activate it.

If you have a Toshiba laptop, there is a switch right under the left mouse button. If you don't have a Toshiba then you need to edit your question and tell the make and model of your computer.
