i norm don't agree with the death penalty but i do think he got what he deserved! this man was MONSTER he used to take great pride in the arts of torture. some of his favs were shoving a hose with wires in it up people rectum and castrating men.he also liked to hang people upside down then beat them with hoses especially on the bottom of their feet. this man used to take his kids to watch this also. there was only one punishment this monster could get was death but the death penalty should be held just for monsters like this man

I'm not entirely sure if what was done was right, but I think it is the closest to justice we as humans can attain right now.
But it is the aftereffects that bother me. Jubilation and joy throughout the world all over the place. I understand he did a lot of bad things (as a matter of understatement, he was the worst thing to hit the world since Hitler), but it is not a time to celebrate. Another one of God's children (since all Humans are God's children) has been lost, maybe for good. This will probably be it as far as chances go to redeem himself in God's eyes. And I'm not saying this to downplay in any way his victims, it certainly was not a time to celebrate then either. Many of them are gone for good as well. But it is never right to celebrate the loss of a brother who will never return when good is restored on Earth.
God's justice will be done, and whenever it is done it is good. But God has said the He Himself doesn't always like dispensing justice because it is the loss of one His sons or daughters, and we are told not to celebrate it either. I'll be glad when all is over and no one will have to die again (for justice or without it).

I'm against the dealth penalty so I cant really make an exception for Saddam. I don't understand why so many people who otherwise oppose capital punishment are saying it's a good thing...

The only thing I think should've been done was to have it sometime in January, AFTER the New Year's b/c now New Year's celebrations around the world (specifically in the US or EU) will be potential targets.

Inhumane execution for him, humane execution for us.
Iraqis danced around his dead corpse...
Must have been a big deal.

He deserved what he got but I think he should have been tortured first so he would know how the people he tortured felt.

His own country tried him for many murders, found him guilty, sentenced him to death and executed him.

Conflict ofcource , cos he ruled I RAQ FOR MORE THAN25 YS, AND HE WERE VICE PRESIDENTFOOR 10 YS BEFORE.
I STUDIED AT IRAQ AND I KNOW FOR SURE THAT HE STILL HAS MANY FOLLOWERS . THE NATURE OF IRAQI STRUCTURE TELLS THAT HIS TRIBE , HIS FOLLOWERS , HIS NEIGHBOURING TRIBES IN THE SAME CITY OF SADAM " TIKRIT" ,ALL OF THOSE AND OTHERS THINK OF REVENGE FOR THERE LEADER " SADAM "
THE CLEAR TRUTH THAT AMERICA DOMINATES THE NEW LEADERS OF IRAQ """" SADAM WAS KILLED BY AN AMERICAN DECISION , WHICH VIOLATES ALL THE HUMAN RIGHTS RESOLUTIONS - AND THIS IS WHAT HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH SAID """
KILLING SADAM WAS A BIG MISTAKE COMMITTED BY AMERICA FOR IT'S OUTSIDE POLICIES AND FOR THE IRAQIS.....e...t...c...
