By "on the side" I assume you are talking about having an affair? Well, unfortunately for our society, there are thousands of women out that willing to "do you" for no strings attached (or they say so in the beginning- there will ALWAYS be strings attached one way or the other). Unfortunately, these are also the same women who don't know what honesty is, are NOT the best in bed because they can not maintain a relationship long enough to really get any true experience (which takes years), will lie to you about STDs and if they are on any birth control and are in general the dregs of society. So, as long as you know what you are getting in to, head on to the internet- myspace or any dating site or out to your local bar and you can find thousands of these women. Don't expect them to be the best looking ones in the world, because those get taken by the guys worth being with. You will be getting "less than perfect" so to say, but they do suffice to put the head you are obviously thinking with into for a cheap lurid affair.
Sparks do not come from having a girlfriend on the side, sparks come from making the deep connections that really matter in life. Once you make one of those connections, you will know what I'm talking about and never have a thought about having someone on the side again. If you are so miserable in your current relationship that you want to seek out someone "on the side", then at the very least, step up to the plate and be a man and break it off with the person you are with. Don't be a coward. Be honorable. Face that you have to take responsibility for what has gone awry in your relationship just as much as your mate. Together you can fix it and get more "sparks" than you could ever find elsewhere, but it does take you being a man, and being willing to find honor within yourself to make things work.

There are lots of other ways to get a 'spark' in your life than cheating. If you get a girlfriend on the side, say good bye to your wife/girlfriend you have now. If you need more sexually, try making suggestions to your wife to spice things up. All the idea are out there...roll playing and outfits, new toys, video cameras in the bed room, unusual places. Good luck, i hope you forget the idea of a girlfriend on the side.
And if you just need something to make you happy get a puppy instead of a girlfriend.

i thought years ago by having someone on the side was the answer to make my sex life with my husband more exciting. all it did was complicate things, a lot of emotions r involved with having an affair. i do not believe it is the best thing, after all was said and done i regretted every moment that i had with the affair and as for my husband he never forgot it, he forgave but never forgot. and in the end 7 years later he got back at me and the hurt that i felt was so intense. if u truly care about your wife u would not do that cuz it all comes back 3 fold in the end. needless to say i still love my husband to this day (2 years of being separated ) and it kills me to know that it is her that lays down next to him everynite. just think about it, how would u really feel if your wife did that to u?

and if you find one and bring home a disease to your wife- I do believe she will find out and divorce you, dude. Go to the bookstore and read up on how to spark your marriage. Stop focusing on yourself, focus on others and your family needs. Your kids need a faithful dad. How will you teach them to be true when times get rough?
