most of the people complaining in the media and comic fandom don't buy the comics anymore. I never figured why they used a similar style for both the boy and girls comics in Archie Comics.
It would be better if us "old people" stayed out of it and let the kids decide if they like it.
Anything that gets more girls to read, and read comics, is a great idea on principle. Archie already has proven this could work with the "manga" Sabrina.
The current look for the characters is not the "original look" anyways, when Betty and Veronica first appeared, they had a more curvy and sexy look. As the comics of the time were actually aimed at doing humor for teenagers, not the present audience of the 13 and younger crowd.

It is a publicity stunt like the "Manga Look", but lets face it anecdotal information is that most of the people poled have not read an Archie comic in years.
I think the art was poor. Betty look five years younger than Veronica.
However a real take on Archie was done with adaptation of that godawful "Back to Riverdale" movie with art by Gene Colan I believe.

tell me these are meant...not as replacement...but as some ill-fated experiment in adult storytelling...or some Elseworld telling of the Archies on another planet/dimension/universe....
say it isn't so....
guess I should not be suprised...seeing as I sell comics for a living....I have seen this kindof crap before...perhaps my disbelief is simply me showing my age...
