Well, I always liked quirky music, so I've found myself at home listening to Stefani-gone-solo. Even if you look back at when she was with No Doubt, her music was never really what most people would consider "normal".
Gwen is truly an interesting character because rather than most people that have gone solo from a band, she's attempted to create music with a style far from ordinary. For example, if you were to look at Beyonce Knowles and her solo albums post-Destiny's Child, you'll notice that she's never really strayed from the standards of pop and R&B. Gwen Stefani went ahead and went nuts with her solo venture, matching her unique voice with strange beats and busy melodies. Despite this, she's been welcomed with open arms by the current music industry as a solo artist.
Even if you don't like her weird solo stuff, the fact is that it got your attention.

She's a very strange girl. She's just going through some sort of phase, I think, where she's trying to get into the superficial-party-girl, pop-star sort of thing, and failing miserably because she's somewhat odd and trying to hard to fit in. No Doubt lyrics are a lot better and make some sort of sense. I wish she'd rejoin, but that's offtopic.

weird people do weird music. she fits in better in a band and sticks out as a sore thumb solo

actual devoid of doubt. She would not seem to be that solid devoid of the full group. i do no longer understand why, yet i think of she grow to be additionally greater usual while she grow to be aside of little doubt.

Cuz she can't even sing. I mean she is obsessed with herself. In the Wind It Up song she says we got L.A.M.B on our shirts or something like that. I mean come on.
