Happiness and good health for everyone (and get rid of some of my debt). It would also be nice to see some more progress in same-sex marriage laws as well.

My state is finally considering SSM/Civil Unions. I'd wish they'd stop talking about it already and get on with it.
After 20 years with the same man I'd really like all those straight friends and relatives whose weddings we've been obligated to attend and supply the obligatory gift, and in some cases multiple weddings, to have their chance to give us something for a change by attending ours. Okay, I'm half kidding and half not. I come from a very large family and his is enourmously huge. For 20 years we've been to 4 or 5 weddings per year. By my calculations if all goes in favor of SSM, we stand to make a fortune!

What I would love to have in the New Year is the cliche of world love and peace to come true. Everyone keeps wishing for it so much that it has become virtually meaningless, and yet we still haven't acheived anything even close to peace. And on a lighter note, to joe s, you are so freakin cute...if you look anything like your pic you should have no trouble getting a guy in the new year!

Gotta agree with Tegarst, that would be a very good year indeed.
On a selfish note I want the same thing I wanted for Christmas. I'm still waiting to hear about a promotion I'm up for. More money and a lot closer to home, friends and family.

world peace, everyone to be happy, gay marrige to be legal, no more animal abuse, no more child abuse, etc. on a personal front, i want my divorce to be final and my baby to be born (i feel like i've been pregnant for 5 years instead of 5 months).
