The most publicized, yes, but certainly not the best singer. True singers don't get as much praise or publicity. She has largely contributed to the lack of singing talent in music today. As long as "singers" have a pretty face and can put on a good show, dumb fans equate that with having a good singing voice.

Madonna has had an amazing career with alot of good music and bad movies. She's had alot of influence. But lately she's kind of become Ester the has-been with her Cabala or Kabuki or whatever and her awful fake British accent.

I liked Madonna until she adopted a kid from who knows where... until then, I thought she was awesome.

hell no. i think she is the most overrated celebrity out there. i mean, here she (along with so many others) goes over to africa adopting kids when so many over here that need homes. she can't act. she's old. all her music sounds the same. she can't really sing. and she's kinda slutty, which is what her career is made of...besides...if it wasn't for the gay community...her fan base would be very limited. = )
