i might be a sociopath cause i actually fell asleep during the remade version the film .i suppose when came to the original it was more about if the devil can posses this little girl and force her to do what he wants what are the chances he won't do it to someone Else in other words it's more about loss of control and the unknown.

'The Exercist' would scare me, if it existed, because it would suggest remedying the effects of seasonal over-indulgence.
'The Exorcist' would scare me only if I thought that people believed that kind of superstitious twaddle.

The Exorcist was a scary movie. By today's standards it may not be. That song "Tubular Bells" was as creepy as the movie.

i guess cos i feel it could really happen.
appart from the fact that we got to see and hear some gross sights and sounds, there was an intangible evil...u know...a spirit you can't really run away from or hide from as opposed to the physical slashers.
i guess evil dead scared me for the same reason
the texas chainsaw massacre remake also scared me cos i thought "this could actually happen!"

That lil girls head spins around and she throws up green stuff and the devil is a scary thing. That one man falls and his neck is broken. That one lady gets angry with other people. That Priest looks like my dad. It is scary.
