He blamed them for all the problems Germany had after the economic crisis in the 1920's. In addition, it is rumored that he was of jewish descendt himself, his mother (or grandmother, can't remember) having worked as a maid in a jewish household and then having an illegitimate child and being kicked out of the house. Being a single, unmarried mom at that time was no fun at all...
According to Hitler, the Jews were dangerous and also an inferior race compared to the German race, or Arians as he called them, and needed to be eliminated. Of course this is totally stupid, as "jewish" is not a race but a religion...

He hated them. In addition, I've heard that he blamed them for Germany's economic troubles - many Jews were well-off and in a position to lend money for interest.
