part of it depends on how you plan on using it. i use Verizon due to low drop calls and it is everywhere i go- mountains, city, lake, etc. spend the time to evaluate if your going to text, download music, etc. talk to the reps of the carriers as to where the towers are and if there are any new ones being built. don't go with the hipe stuff, i.e. Verizon doesn't have vcast in my area for 1 more year. look if you can start with a big plan and shrink it if it is too big - excessive minute kill

I've had Verizon for over a year now and it seems to work really well. The three main cellular service providers my friends have are Verizon, Cingular and Sprint and Verizon seems to top the list. Verizon was the only one of the three that had a 1-year contract option, b/c I didn't need the 2-year plan (which they also have too). With Verizon, I talk to people from the basement and my friends with Cingular and Sprint sometimes get a signal in the basement. That's just my experience.

Verizon is fairly cheap and has good coverage areas. Sometime their customer service sucks though. And depending on the plan you have overage charges can get outrageous. But they are far from the worst and far better then I have seen cingular ot T mobile to be. At least in my area.

I had the razor from Verizon. It looked cool and all, but after I bought it (and returned it) it had the least amount of battery life. I was told by the salesman, thats how the razor phone is. As for Verizon itself, they are the best company so far, but if you are late paying, they will disconect you with no notice at all and then charge you 15 per line to re-connect.

nicely my strong sir...or uhh chick. In my oppinion I easily haven't any clue what the perfect service is, not beacuse i'm shrink out of a few style of loop yet because there is not a perfect. My reasoning for this answer is because you should locate what works perfect (FOR YOU) some human beings like Cingular some human beings like Verizon etc. locate your own perfect for telephone service.

Verizon was recently voted #1 by Consumer Reports for service coverage, customer service, selection and customer satisfaction. I've been with them for 5 years and have zero complaints. I recommend it.

T-Mobile! Four years in a row they have won the JD Powers award for customer service. They have the best rate plan pricing and great handsets. I 100% recommend them!

Sprint, IMO. Verizon has some crazy data charges. Been with sprint for years and they keep getting better.
