What regets do you have from the year 2006? What will you do differently this year? What things did you hope you would do in 2006 that you failed to do?

I kept 4 of my 5 new year's resolutions for 2006. So the one I didn't keep is the one I will be focusing on this new year, which is to stop using tobacco.

My regrets from 2006 are personal but I will share one regret. I found out this year that I am Bipolar. As a matter of fact it's pretty bad. My regret is not seeking professional help until now. A lot of my relationships with others have either been hurt or have failed completely. Now that I have the proper medication and a therapist to share my problems with I am much happier and so are my family and friends.

This real, of course, the one thing I will do differently is continue with my medication and try to make up for the things I did wrong in 2006. it's been said that you can never do enough good to make up for the bad but I'm gonna give it one heck of a shot.

I hoped I would have been wiser with my money and saved more. I have four kids and they need a future without the struggles I went thru. I did manage to save some money but not enough. 2007 WILL be different. The money I used to buy tobbacco this year will be put into a savings account in 2007. that amount is ... $3,000.00 or more over the course of a year. Every week, the money I used to spend on Kodiak will be put into this savings account. Which means by the time my oldest son graduates high school I will have over $30,000.00 saved not including interest. And since my youngest son is only 1, I could possibly have over $55,000.00 saved not including interest. If my children can get scholarships then a big portion of this can go towards my retirement. If not I can at least give them a big head start by paying for their college education.

I have no regrets for 2006. For 2007, I resolve:

- to look after myself better both mentally and physically

- to focus even more attention on my family and less on my job

- to date my wife more

- to be more organized

Happy New Years

Same as every year. To live a happy healthy life.99% of people end their resolutions by Jan 15th, so what's the point. You can start a commitment any time of year. I never got the Jan. 1st thing. It's stupid, IMO.
