Depending on the age, if they're under 11 I'd say no, I tried those I just fell right back and got the wind knocked out of me, it's hard to put your weight on your heels with out falling over. If the kid is over 11 or 12 I think they could handle figuring it out, but under that age I'd be a little nervous.

PShhh... at least during playtime, I could keep an eye out on my kids if they get hurt or something. But say they're at school or walking home or whatever, I'd never know. I don't want to be afraid for my child's safety simply because they want the latest cool shoe.

My neighbor bought them for her kids, and the wheels come off. Her daughter had misplaced the wheels to one shoe, but eventually found them. They are also forbidden to use them in school here. I would think about the child you are buying them for first. How responsible are they? Do they lose their stuff alot? Do you want to have to replace the wheels all the time? I also would not reccomend letting your child wear them to school.

man, i work in a mall, and i see kids with those shoes all the time, wheeling about
i hate them. i hate that kids can potentially fall and it will create more work for me (i would be the one to do the accident report, as i work loss prevention)
but i'll tell you what... if i had a pair of my own... lol - nah, i'd never buy a pair for me, nor my own kids - i don't want my kids getting weak legs cause they didn't walk much

No way, too easy to get hurt. They wouldnt wear a helmet and falling on the back of your head is too dangerous!

yes i would but i didn't have to he received a pair as a Christmas gift. i dont see no harm in them as long as i watch my kid while he's wearing them, my son knows that he cant take the wheels to school with him and he cant wear them in the house. they are fun for kids and whats the harm in that?

don't. they are too expensive for kids and will be clunky and fast to grow out of. most schools don't allow them and you should just buy roller skates that are adjustable.

I wouldn't, I would let my kids buy them, but only allow them to wear them in safe areas....you shouldn't buy frivolous gifts for children, they wont learn to respect money.

It would depend on their age and if they can skate well. I would if I thought he could handle it and really wanted them.
