I'm waiting on a package that is being sent from the U.S. to the U.K. It has already left from over there and checking on the Parcel force website it says status: advised. Does anyone know what that means? It left over there 8 days ago.

Have you tried looking up the definition of that term in the help section of Parcel Force's website?

It would always be nice to know what country you are in. Then an intelligent answer is possible. Obviously it isn't held in Chinese customs. Seeing the above strange names (well unknown to us here), we assume that you are in the UK? The same remarks from US customs usually only means that it is going to be opened and checked, which basically means nothing if it is legal goods. They rarely if ever worry about an import duty. Apparently the UK is different?
