Oh, this is an easy one for me: the dearly beloved wife with whom I've spent the last 44 years (as of just a few days ago), quite literally my "better half" (to use an old, old cliche, that just happens to be fresh and new for me).
She is my lover, best friend, colleague, caregiver and care-taker, my conscience (sometimes), my eyes and ears (often), my memory (more and more these days), my good humor, good will, optimism, patience, my heart and soul (if you will), the best blessing of my life; in other words my “better half.”
Make that a day and a night, if you can!
However, I must tell you that, in just a few short years after the two of us became one, we had become seven. So if I could really have my druthers, that one day would be once more a party for at least seven. And maybe five grandchildren. And maybe . . . . (Whoa, this is gettin' out of hand, ain't it?)
Now I have two questions for you:
(1) What is this book For One More Day? Do you recommend it?
(2) And a harder one: If you, like Emily in Our Town, were given the opportunity to relive one day in your life what would it be?
Hmmm. Maybe I'll post that on Y!A.
Now, on an issue that is only tangentially related but perhaps more practical, you might search for other Y!A questions on HGH. Here are a few of the “best” answers, you will find:
(1) that stuff is garbage...HGH and Long R3 IGF-1 all have to be injected.
beware of supplements bearing the name of the "real thing"...99.9% of the time they are completely bogus
(2) Human growth hormone (HGH) must be injected to be effective. Furthermore, HGH is very serious stuff and should only be used in a doctor's care. Don't waste your money on anything you spray, swallow or rub on... it won't work. [BS in Exercise Science]
(3) . . .True HGH comes via injections which are costly and painful. I would certainly check with your doc on this esp concerning the hip [replacement] mentioned. The oral forms make huge claims, most are unfounded and none FDA approved - but there are a couple out there that stand out. I have really seen results and am very happy. I do see my doc on a regular basis for blood tests just to be safe. . . . .
(4) You'll waste your money. The ONLY effective HGH treatment must be injected.
(5) Extremely dangerous. Don't even think about taking them unless your doctor recommends them, then stay under his care. You don't play around with this stuff on your own.
Apparently there are some 200 other Askers who have raised the same kind of question.
It looks as it this is NOT the way to gain One More Day.

my father. he passed away at age 54 when i was 16. I really never knew him. Almost 50 years later, i feel that i never had a dad. I also never had grandparents. And my sister and I grew up as if we were "only children" because I was 10 when she got married and moved away from our state (she was 20). Yes i was lonely.

My mom. She's my best friend, hero, and inspiration. Hands down. She brought me into this world and would be there with me for my last day on it.
