I would wish for my sight back, so I could see my daughters face again. To be able to watch her grow, play, get married and be able to do all the things with her that she missed out on when I lost my sight.

I would wish to be able to start my life over knowing the things that I know now. I would realize what was and wasn't important at the time. I would know who my true friends were. I would have gone to college when I had the money and the chance . . .
You know, all of those things that I look back at and could have made a better choice knowing what I know at 39 yrs old. Wishing to start over knowing what I have had to learn the hard way, would bring me a better chance at so many things that I would NOT do, that I have done; as well as better planning for what I WOULD do.

You posited ONE wish. I will answer your question as asked.

'That humanity may achieve the necessary health, moral evolution, ability to communicate & co-operate, and rise above our hubristic dominance of the Earth, such that the human race can live in harmony with each other, and with our ecosphere, so balance (homeostasis) is maintained until the Sun no longer supports life on this planet'.

We'd live long, have few children, learn much, and hurt no being. If this isn't enough for inner peace, we're a waste of hydrocarbons!

I would simply wish for the power of persuasion. I believe if I could get through to people then I could make the world a better place. I know myself, and I know I wouldn't abuse this power.

I would wish for another 1000 wishes, I could sort so much out and make so many people happy, but I would be careful, I would not stop wars or crime, as this would effect so many peoples jobs.......... no wars = no servicemen, no companies making the equipment to keep them alive.......No crime, = no police no prisons, which would cause world wide unemployment.. not something i would wish for..

That I could be in the bath with my boyfriend (future husband!) right now....

Well, I'd wish for all the sensible things like ending all war and poverty, eternal happiness and health for everyone etc, but I assumed you meant after all those things

My last wish would have to be kept the day i would be on my dying bed, asking for a few more moments of breath, to be able to say 'goodbye' to loved ones.
