The game runs awfully slow. And I just changed the video card too (now I have an nVIDIA GeForce FX 5200). So I *really* don't know what the cause is. Can anyone help?

It's not *suddenly* running slow, it had been running slow ever since I installed it. And the game is Ghost Master... Does the game title really make a difference?

The computer has a Celeron processor, 2.55 GHz, 512 MB Ram and I already said what video card. And I turned off EVERY background application too, and it's still the same. God, I hate it.

Does your operating system fit all the requirements? More ram, turn some crap off you have runnin in the background, turn down some of the game properties, last but not least, go to the game website and look for patches.

The Video Adapter in the system is not the only thing that matters. Also keep in mind that there are other programs called services running in the background that you do not see. For example, if a game recommends 512MB of RAM and you have 512MB of RAM installed, you still have to account for the other programs that are using that same 512MB of RAM. You need to provide details about your system also.

Working with a slow computer can be time consuming as programs/ applications take a long time to start. This problem is more pronounced in computers which have been used for 6 or more months. More information at http://fixit.in/slowcomputer.html
