Your best bet is to file your complaint through your credit card company, you only have certain amount of time do so, so do it promptly.

A few months back my wife ordered the John Beck tax property thing online, and sent it back. They continued to charge and not refund the money as well as charge a monthly fee for their advice website which we never logged into in the first place since she sent it back within days of arrival.

They refused to even return phone calls. At any rate we filed a complaint through wells fargo which stopped the charges AND got our money back. The credit card companies deal with fraud and scams all the time, it's worth it to let them do the investigating.

Not much you can do about it. I tried filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the woman there told me that their purpose is just to be something that businesses can claim membership in so as to look honest.

All one can hope for is to carefully investigate companies as best one can before purchasing things from them. Even then, the odds are that one will get taken periodically.

What were honest and reliable companies often either cut costs by ripping off their customers or by hiring people who don't care. The eventual end result is that the company will likely develop a bad reputation and go out of business.

I learned the hard way never to place one large order with any company. It is better to place numerous small orders, to both motivate the company to keep honest (the temptation is extremely high to dump all their broken stuff on one customer's large order), and to minimize how much they can rip you off for. Believe me, it was a hard lesson. I ordered a whole workshop's worth of expensive tools in one order, and the company, State Saw & Machinery Co. in Baltimore, took the opportunity to send me every rusty and broken piece of equipment they had. I only managed to get them to replace one extremely damaged stationary tool, and only by getting the manufacturer to put pressure on the store. I have also gotten burned numerous times buying from EBay. The EBay and PayPal gurarentees are almost worthless, the process they put you through to get a refund often costs more that the initial purchase price.

Hmm, don't know what company you are talking about but you should call your credit card and deny the charges.

Fruit of the Loom?
You can mention the company they aren't going to come after you.
Did you try talking to their customer service department?
