There are many companies now that offer DNA testing, in which they determine your Bio-Geographical ancestry. This has become especially popular for African Americans recently, because many are aware that their ancestors were from Africa, but, no specific countries or tribes have ever been known. What you are after is your ethnic background because your are of the human race.
If you trace your family tree, you will discover your family origins.

I suggest you ask each of your parents to tell you about the ethnic backgrounds of as many of their generations as they know.
