his kids are always mean and lied alot. they say its boring over here but there the one that makes the mood change its like a black cloud is over them when they come here...they dont get along with no one not even at school....his ex wife who never worked and cheated on him alot he even walked in on her. She lies alot and still to this day says she never cheated. her parents bail her out of things that she should of taken resposiblity for....and the same with the kids...they lie alot make up lies to us about there mom and does the same about us to her i have known them for 5 years now , heard that all of my husbands past girlfriends before me he had to break up with cause his kids were mean to them and told him they didnt like them. they have always been mean to my kids for no reason there mood is mean mu husband does not want them here any more...unless they change they are like there mom. pridefull concieted, liars mean. and selfish and selfcentered..i dont want my kids around that

Well now, seems to be if the kids are lying they have been taught by example( their mom) Their dad needed a long time ago to put his foot down and do something about it. Not you, as you are the step mom and UNFORTUNATELY the law does not allow step parents to do much(discipline). Your husband needs to tell the kids that UNTIL they can learn to show some respect towards others then they will not be allowed to visit. The mom and dad are no longer an item, so the kids need not to inform the dad what their mom does as long as she is not abusive to them. The kids are just trying to get anyone they can to show them somekind of attention no matter how and they dont care if what they do is right or wrong just as long as someone pays attention. I would show them attention by a good old fashioned paddleing, which I am sure they have NEVER had. You need to tell your husband you dont mind having the kids over but when they come the WILL LISTEN or they will be taken home immediately. Alot of parents this day and age FORGET who is the adult and who is in CHARGE..

You shouldn't blame the kids.It isn't their fault.It is their parents fault.Including your husband.If he knew she was so bad and he cared about the kids he should have taken them from her.Didn't you know that the kids would be in your life and how they behaved before you got married.If they ran off other woman than the have to be the kind of kids that would have tried to do the same to you.So if you knew how they were and you married their dad than you put yourself in this position.You are an adult you need to quit blaming the kids for everything and take some responsibility for your part in this.If you are a good wife and mother you would encourage him not to forsake his kids and not let them visit you would try to get him to get the kids help.They are the way they are because that is the way the adults in their lives trained them to be.So start pointing you finger at your hubby and his ex not the kids.

It sounds as if his children need counseling. Maybe your husband should set up an appointment to get them some help. Maybe they should not be living with their mother. Not enough details here. But if you suspect she's a bad mother, you could report her to Children and Youth Services and offer to take them in. How old are his children? Why not take them to the movies or ice skating or something and keep them out of the house and having fun?
