Since I've never considered a Hummer to be a car....and I DID read the word car in the question, gonna vote for the '59 Cadillac. When this car came out, many parking lot garage attendants were told not to let these cars in, since they wouldn't fit on the ramps to the upper levels. Saw a History Channel show about it. Even drove one. Damn nice car. Huge.

the hummer is the biggest vehicle the public can buy and drive on the roads in the states. but it also drinks the most gas.
