If by nylons you mean stockings, they aren't allowed anymore for safety reasons. But yes, waaaay back when I cheered in Jr. high we were required to wear them. But by the time I was on Varsity they were banned.

i prefer a cheerleader to be dressed in -
trainers and ankle socks
flesh/white opaque tights
blue/red/white leotard
hair in pig tails
pomp-pomps
that will look sexy as heaven
