I made an Alienware exactly like this computer and it cost about $10,000 (why are Alienwares so expensive) and this one in www.ibuypower.com costs $4,900 which is half. I need it %100 for now and future projects please help. This is the case but I'm getting it in black http://www.nzxt.com/Download/guardian1280.jpg

It is worht $4900 in the sense that if you bought all the parts seperately and put them together, they would cost that much. But as for is it truly worth the money, no. That computer is overkill, you could cut out all the neon and cathode garbage, get rid of one of the 8800's, drop the PSU to 850W, and knock the processor down to just a regular Core 2 Duo, and you probably wouldn't even notice the difference, and your price would drop at least $1500. But like I said, if you have the money to burn, you're getting a reasonable price. One thing, since you seem to be flush with cash, get Vista Ultimate, has some extra feature I think you would enjoy.

Just about all the games out now don't even support dual core processors...and you want to buy a quad core...the only way you will see the benefit is if you like playing 4 games at once...since about 99% of games only use 1 core anyway....save some money...simply buy a dual core. I have a Core Duo at 2.13ghz in my laptop...thing smokes through the latest games no problem...it isn't even a core2 duo..and it is in a laptop. The 8800's are gonna be hot and loud as all get out....but there are also gonna smoke anything around...and thats another $1200 easy....the 22" monitor better have a really good refresh rate...otherwise your just gonna get ghosting....no fun for fps games. Plus it seems like your getting a lot of useless junk like cathode tubes, neon fans...and just junk to add wires to the case...and in my opinion just make the case a mess. The 1100 watt power supply is needed since each of the 8800's can potentially use 225watts of power. Your computer is gonna be huge dude...the 8800 cards are longer than most motherboards when mounted in the case.

Good Config.
Onboard Lan Network? As in part of the Motherboard? I have always had problems with those in support. You might want to buy a Slot Card. Also great choice on support.
Just one question... Do you have a UPS for this ? Might be a good choice to protect your Gear. I recommend APC for the UPS, but precise specs are up to each person, depends on if you want spike, surge, or just enough time to safely down your PC sort of protection if the power goes or lightening strikes.

wow you are one high performance gamer

that is alright, alienware tends to cost ALOT just for the brand name, the monitor may or may not be alot of the price it sounds like it isnt because the graphics cards you are getting are awesome along with every other thing such as the power supply and your other components

id also stick with a western digital raptor (10,000 rpm) hard drive if you want better performance(which is what I have because i do not need more that 140 gb of space)

yeah make sure you are getting a solid monitor...good refresh rate and resolutions

but with alienware it sounds about right, and i wouldnt really stick with I-Buy power because they are a tad cheap

also for that price try looking at voodo and falcon northwest pc

best of luck
