It would have to be the Detroit Lions, as they are somehow "stuck" with that idiot matt millen.
For some reason the owners won't fire him and hire a GM that knows something about managing/drafting/recognizing talent and the other things General Managers are supposed to know to keep their job.

By far the 2-13 Detroit Lions!! Aside from their first game with the Bears and the Dolphins game, the Lions where in a lot of close games.

Had it not been for Jon Kitna's leauge leading 21 picks, some coming at very crucial moments of the game, the Lions would have a lot better record.

The 11/8 game against the Vikings was icing on the cake as to how bad the Lions luck was.

Take a look at their season.

What is worse, narrowly missing the playoffs, have high expectations, or just plain sucking?

For #1 (if they don't make it) it is hard to beat the self destruction of the Giants

For #2 the Dolphins and Panthers were preseason SuperBowl picks. The Cardinals were supposedly a sleeper. The Steelers went from the Super Bowl to not able to make the play offs, but no one paid as much for a lousy team than the Redskins.

For #3 I'd say Detroit.

having your qb get his face smashed into the pavement trumps all, not to mention the appendectomy and concussion that followed, the many injuries to polamalu, porter, and hines ward to name a few, coach is probably gonna leave, and an all around bad year.........can't argue with the bad luck the steelers are having, but it's ok, they'll be back next year and kicking ***.

Gotta go with my team, Kansas City. Trent Green went down week 1. Willie Roaf retired unexpectedly. Brian Waters missed time. Tony Gonzalez missed a game.
