I never got along fine without a cell phone. Never in my life did I get along fine without a cell phone.
I couldn't stand being without a cell phone, even before there were cell phones I couldn't stand it. And then when I got my first cell phone, I immediately knew that not having a cell phone all those years was something I couldn't tolerate, in a very basic way.
And whenever someone suggests that I got along fine without a cell phone before, I become angry not to mention livid, and even irate.

We also used to get along fine without Yahoo! Answers. But now we are asking 1000000 questions a day, including this one. Times change. We used ot get by without heat or air in our cars, and before that no cars, only horses, before that no homes. Get the point?

People got along fine without cars and electricity too.
Times change and I know I wouldn't want to go backward.
