The threat will always be present. However we are in a position where we can either minimize or maximize the threat. If we pull out of Iraq we would be telling the terrorists they are right and to keep up their good work.
This can be seen when Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip. Even though they were making an effort for peace, the terrorist organizations (Hamas and the like) saw this as a stamp of approval on their efforts, and they thus kicked up the effort.
We must constantly work to minimize the threat against out safety. By remaining rigid and not bending to the will of the terrorists we are demonstrating that their efforts will ultimately be in vain, because we will remain strong in the face of adversity.

I'd like to think so but I don't think terrorism ever ends. Look at the Middle East, they've been at it for years. I hope nothing like 9/11 ever happens again but, we're not exactly the most popular country and lot of others think we still deserve more.

both, I think maybe one every 5 years or so, smaller than 9/11 though
yeah al qaida has to hide more now

Yes I think so. People are jealous of us. We live lives with the right to pursue happiness, most people try to pursue life.
