It does not have to be flowers to make someone feel better. Each person is different. To aswer your question, flowers (or any gift) make me feel better because I know that at least there is someone in this world remember me and want to make me happy. For some girl, they love flower so much that if you give them flower, them will be happy to make friend with you.

Say I'm having an off day and a random hottie brings me flowers. I've just gone through a difficult break up, a rocky friendship, and a D+ on my best, most well written English essay. Just to know someone's been thinking of me will totally make me happy.

the smell....colours...and image of the flowers is what cheers me up...it can make a dark and dingy room look bright and cheerful
