I know. As put downs go that was a feckin blinder was it not. Seems we underestimate the French.
To be fair he's not wrong either is he, after all Dubya had a lot of trouble with that pretzel didn't he??

The French are great!
Just before we went into Iraq, the French tested underground nuclear bombs, to the outcry of ALL the nations of the world.
This was sabre rattling to the Iraq people, mess with the French and we will nuke you!
How many terrorist attacks have the French had?
It worked then, maybe we should listen to them from now on!

haven't heard that, but it is funny. reminds me of the comment that President Ford was "too dumb to chew gum and fart at the same time". even he (RIP) said Iraq was a mistake.
