Baby Powder sprinkled around the plant should get rid of them. I have gotten rid of them on my counters in the winter this way. Apply when the plant is relatively dry. I have been told that the powder sticks to their legs and they don't like it. I do not think it will harm the plant. Also, sprinkle around the area of the pot. That might get rid of them without applying any in the plant itself.

You can get rid of ants by using soap water.
