How can i figure out what kinds of video cards my computer will take?

Im looking to buy a new video card and i don't know what kind my computer will take (AGP, PCI, PCI-express) Could someone provide me with a website where i can scan my computer to find out or some other way?

so how do i tell the difference between pci and pci-express then?

AGP, PCI and PCI-express are all Hardware specs

If you have an AGP, PCI or PCI-Express port, your computer will accept any of those types of video cards.

If you have an AGP port, my suggestion would be to use an AGP card. I can not think of any other reason to use a PCI or PCI-express card unless you do not have an AGP port.

AGP port is usually brown or black and is the first port in the line of card slots.
PCI and PCI-express are pretty much the same thing, white. The only thing different in PCI-express is that there is some motherboard config that is different. You can not tell by looking at it except the express port is a little longer. Generally, you can put a PCI device in a pci express port but not vise versa.

can either go to manufacturers web site or pull cover and look at motherboard. agp slots are brown and separated from other slots, pcie are black or blue and separated from othe slots..pci are black and will all be grouped together
