California has had tough rules for about 15 years (California usually leads the nation in things that will be a trend). It has worked wonderfully and they are clamping down even more so. Cigarettes are poison. To me it is the same thing as asking if there should be a law against people spraying bug spray in other people's faces. Can you imagine that? Everywhere you go, people spray bug spray at you? Cigarettes are poison poison poison.

You government is a whore and slut. They do not care about a single person it is all a smoke and pony show. All they want is the power to screw people over and the money. And you are right is it all a scam. Thiefs doing what they do best. They will kill for money and they do it openly and then lie about it. Look at Waco, did you know the real reason for all that was that the people down there were making money selling stuff at the local gun shows, one item was vest with a handgarnad sheel that was cut in half and sown into the vest. Strictly from declarerting the vest. The ATF got wind that the dividens had ordered garnads. Instead of investigating what they were doing they attacked them with force. The ATF also heard that the dividens were also making military weapons, the actually events were that they were making legal weapons for a local gun dealer in the area. That gun dealer ran out of space to store the weapons and could not take delivery at the time of the orders completion. The ATF and FBI lies to a Judge to get a permission to storm these people. That LIE caused the death or children woman and men. And you think your government cares. This government is akin to satan and is in no way a holy government seeking to do good from the people.

Well, first of all; Smoking may be bad for you. BUT!! If they are so worried about smoking and how it effects people then why haven't they completely banned smoking altogether? They do it with everything else with the exception of Alcohol! I bet I know why!!!! Because they are using the argument that smoking is bad for you to tax the hell out of it! If everyone started a tobacco farm, then smoking would be illegal just like Mary Jane! And on top of that, they have yet to prove that smoking is 100% sure to cause cancer!! Sure it could not have any health benefits! lol... I'm not saying smoking is good for you! But fast food has been known to kill people quicker than smoking!! So shouldn't they say that you must be at least 18 years of age to buy a Big Mac? Or what about Mountain Dew? Did you know that some of the colorings like red#40 and Yellow #5 are VERY HARMFUL! To your kidneys? Oh!! Lets not tell everyone about that! And lets not tell everyone that radiation from microwave ovens can probably cause someone to develop cancer just as quick or even quicker than a smoker!!! Isn't it Ironic that ever sense man has learned nuclear technology the percentage of Cancer has increased? Lets hope that our government is not headed towards c.c.c.p.!

I live in Houston Texas and we recently went smoke free in public places. It is awesome. Now I can go to a restuarant and not come out smelling like an ash tray.
You can smoke in designated places and in your car. I should not have to suffer and get unfiltered second handsmoke just because yuo want to smoke.

I am a UK citizen and I don't agree with this sicko Government ruling the citizens of the UK. We should all have a rights to do what we want to do within the Law. I have also heard that this Government is going to tax us for using public toilets soon. Try and beat that one.

I have smoked for 10 years, quit like 5 years ago.
Started smoking pipe like 6 months ago and quit that like 2 weeks ago.
Smoking is disgusting addiction. I hope they ban smoking all together everywhere. Smoking should be ilegal. I'ts totally addictive and kids are victims to it.
Government needs to try harder. Ban smoking please!

Why should those that don't smoke have to suffer because of your addiction. You are obviously killing yourself with cigarettes, and yet you want to kill others by 2nd hand smoke. Why should I let a smoker kill me?

It is harsh, I am in the process of trying to quit, but it should be a business's right to choose if they want to be smoke free or not. If a business wants to have people to choose if they want to smoke that is their choice, and if you don't want to breathe the 2nd hand in, don't go there!

smokers are being victimized here in UK. pretty soon you'll only be able to smoke in yur own home.
someone once told me, poor ppl are less likely to die from smoking, than the rich, cos poor ppl have much more stress in their lives-and smoking relives stress, if only by a little.
