Yes they do. Yours may be frightened, which is why it doesn't close its eyes when you are watching.

Guinea pigs are prey animals so they mostly keep their eyes open, however, they do blink and close their eyes, but less often.

Hi Woody, take it from me,ive had (through) the years 8 guinea pigs and believe me I have never seen one of them blink. Would you believe,they sleep with their eyes open!Yes, when yours is sleeping(they look as if they are in a trance when they sleep) check out the eyes,you will see that they are opened. I love guinea pigs,but their lifspan is so short. Jan

Wow, scary that Amber L. lead a 4-H club on rabbits and thinks they're both in the same family. Rabbits are lagomorphs, cavies are rodents. They are very distantly related, if at all.
The domestic rabbit is oryctolagus cuniculus, the guinea pig is cavia porcellus. They're also in different orders (rodentia for cavies, and lagomorphia for rabbits).

Yes they do.. They Sleep with their eyes closed and yes they do blink..You just have to watch closely.

Lol i know right? Ive been wondering the same thing for a long time. They probably have like a clear lid to keep their eyes moisturized.

yes but they don't blink too much. Rub your finger over their eye and they will close it.

Yes they do. Sometimes, they may not close their eyes because their afraid. It sometimes looks like they're staring at you...

Yes! and most importantly be sure they get vitamin C every day, preferably a good salad, or they will DIE!
