I have installed a new cpu fan and shroud. The fan is spinning. I have cleared the event log... but I still get an alert: cpu fan not detected when I boot up. How can I fix this?

Interesting... make sure the CPU fan is actually plugged into the CPU fan connector. If it is and you are still getting the error, do what I did, ignore it. This happened when I installed a liquid cooling system, I told the utility to ignore it. Sorry, it's not really a fix, just a workaround if it won't recognize it. Just make sure that your CPU is actually being cooled by running whatever utility came with your motherboard.
