You know, it's funny. I could pull the lever, but I would not have been able to sell him the weapons and technology he used to commit his crimes in the first place.

I can safely say no...as I watched the video of the preparation for his execution I prayed for him. (And I'm not even really all that religious!!)

I know he is responsible for so many deaths, but he is still human, and I couldn't help thinking that if perhaps he could have felt some of that same empathy toward others this wouldn't have been needed.

As to your additional details.....no....I have a hard time ending any life, perhaps in prision, Saddam or others like him would have a chance to redeem themselves, see the truth of pain and suffering and teach it to others. Plus there is the old idea that killing them ends their misery rather than leaving to a live of suffering like those who lost children, parents and other loved ones at their hands.

Saddam would be achieved because of the fact the West and the kinfolk of his sufferers call for it. He might of continuously been the Martyr even if if he have been killed combating Coalition forces, or have been assassinated or stored in reformatory. Arabs to no longer desire to become in contact with Iraq's issues and as quickly as the Coalition forces go away there'll be a civil conflict , with the Shia as winners.they are going to connect forces with Iran, usa will then be back as quickly as returned yet this time Syria will additionally become in contact and this may be yet another 10 years of combating with out winners, in basic terms extra ineffective harmless civilians and extra hatred unfold for the period of the international. Why cant all of us appreciate one yet another and survive a peace finished planet.

Easily. 400 babies a day died in pre-war Iraq just because of a lack of basic medical care. He ruined the country essentially turning it into a Nazi-style dictatorship where the people were terrorized and threatened and killed. He put people into shredders, head first or feet first depending on his mood, had people including his own family killed by packs of dogs, had people's toungues cut out, tortured people, killed children, and caused the murder and rape of the Kuwaiti people as well.

Heck yea! It was very difficult for the US soldiers who captured Saddam to NOT kill him on the spot. They excercised incredible restraint by not shooting him, or throwing a grenade down his spider-hole to begin with.

Thousands of people were calling the Iraqi government to inquire about the executioner's job. They wanted to personally pull the lever to hang him.
