I use Verizon Online DSL and it says that the speed is 768kbps. But when I do my speed test, it's only around 710-720kpbs.
Is there anything I can do to speed it up?
Thank you :]

More ram, system optimization. You're clocking really close to the advertised speed and I think the ads say that not all people will get the advertised speed.
Bottom line go to run, enter the word "prefetch" and dump everything there.
then goto run again and enter "%temp%" and dump everything there.
That might help.
Also do you have alot of programs communicating over the internet, they might be eating up some of the broadband off of a different port from where you did your test.

If you read it again, verizon claims speeds up to 768 kbps! These speeds are under ideal conditions and ideal conditions dont exist! If your running 710 to 720 i wouldnt complain too much! Ususally its slower!

DSL speed goes down as you get farther away from the source. Other than moving or upgrading your connection speed, there really isn't a way of speeding it up.

Good luck.

You're getting a very good percentage of the advertised speed. You wouldn't notice the difference, relax and take a deep breath!

OK fist of all you need to do a bandwidth test.

after you have done this compare your megabits per second to see if you are getting what you pay for.

The other links Ive sent are hidden Microsoft programmes you can do to your PC to get more bandwidth speed.
Works a treat.
