Reports say the deal is very close. Basically the D-Backs are telling the Yankees that the more money to take from Johnson's contract for this year, the more prospects they will get back.

No New News Nowhere but I hope he comes back to Arizona
Diamondbacks just to see who the Yankees get in return.

It's all speculation, Josh Byrnes (the Arizona GM) isn't dumb enough to give up too much for Johnson, and the D-Backs are certainly not going to take on RJ's full contract. I doubt it's going to happen.
