If you are running with XP 2
Right click your little Monitor icon in the tray
and a dialog box appears
click on STATUS and when the status box appears you will see a TAB marked DETAILS---click on that and ---there you are--- your ISP's address and Your address !!!

This is the most common way: Usualy a pc is set to automaticly get ip address from your internet service provider by default, or if on a network connecting through a router the router will give ip address automaticly. hope this helps you a bit. This is as far as i can go on this subject at mo. need more info as to what o-s you are useing.

Hey Dude,
You got one! You just do not know it. What are you trying to do?
Open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" you will see what your ip address is.
Most ISP's will give you a dynamic address via DHCP. This means it may change each time you reboot your computer. If you have dialup, it WILL change each time you connect.
Now, if you really want a static address, call your ISP and plan to pay at least $100 a month for it. If anyone can get it cheaper PLEASE let me know.

As soon as you connect to the 'net, the IP address is dynamically applied. Some ISP provide a static ISP, with others it will change every time you connect

well you know where your looking for your ip address , get online then look it will change each time you log on apparently i dont know its just wat ive been told by reliable sources
