ok me and my brother pla on or laptops and i have university and he has university and night life i want to know if i instal night life first can i install university after and still use the university disk instead of nightlife

You have to install the games in order of their release.
For example:
You buy The Original Sims 2. You have to then load up University. If you load up a game after University, the Computer wont allow you to install it

I have Sims 2 as well. I use University and Business as my add-ons. As far as I am aware from my experience, regardless of which addons you install, whenever you run say University, both university and business will be available at the same time because you can choose which one to run from there.

it will go to whichever one you have just installed. If you install University after Nightlife then you will have to use the university CD. And vice versa.
Also always remember to back up your files

I have all the Simsi expansion packs and I just installed the University expansion. And I need to use my Pets expansion disk. It seems that you need to use the newest expansion's disk to play
