Fascism is much worse. It most cases, it advocates racism, control through fear, and censorship. Look at the Nazi regime.

Communism obviously doesn't work too well--not the way it was designed--but at least the idea behind it is good. It just fails to take human nature into account.

A friend once said, that every culture swings between both of these.
They both have their advantages, but the middle is the goal. Right now we are swinging towards fascism (with bush) the next election will result in the pendulum swinging back towards communism, a little more socialist, then return again......

I always took it to mean distribution of wealth
Fascist a few control everything including the wealth
communist = wealth is divided

Fascism is worse. I think both are born out of opposite ideals. Fascism assumes that every person is evil and to the strongest evil person go the spoils. Communism assumes that every person is good and overlooks the capablity for corruption.
Fascism has the greater potential to be turned to violence and bloodshed.

I have to disagree with you. A communist country can be peaceful and not wage war or be hostile to other nations, since Communism is merely an ideology on how to run the government and the economy and the social strata. Fascism, on the other hand, means they are very intolerant of anyone who differs from their ideas, and they are strong nationalists, and usually very aggressive in pursuing their agenda, thus they are more likely to infringe upon other nations, and be more of a global threat. Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini were Fascists. And, while it's true that Stalin called his State Communist, he really did not practice it as it was meant to be. And one can certainly be a communist WITHOUT waging war.

Communism is an economical system while Fascism is the political one. You can have the both in the same country.

Communism was created by Karl Marks. He was not a Fascist. Hitler was, and Hitler was not a communist

Fascism is worse.

Communism can work on a very small scale, say like 100 people or so. It's just a dumb way to run a country of millions.
