So many times I see people say that Muslims in the west need to come out and condemn terror. I have seen many Muslims do this time and time again, but I still see people complaining that the condemnation isn't there. I don't see any Muslims in the US coming out and backing Al Qaeda unless they are extremists that the rest of the Muslim community wants nothing to do with. What more do Muslims have to do to show you that they want to be part of the solution?

Yawn. Trent, as the kids say, L2Read. What more do Muslims need to do to get people to stop claiming that no one in the Muslim community is condemning terror?

if they read the condemnations. it would mean their blind hatred is misplaced.

He's made a statement which explains why he is asking the question.

And a very good question it is.

I could not really tell you the answer, as I have never myself thought of Muslims in general support terrorism.

Today I saw footage of people in Iraq and Muslims in the US dancing and rejoicing that Saddam was dead, so I really don't get this idea that all Muslims are terrorists.

I suppose my simple answer would be that the Muslims should not have to do anything to prove it. They should live their lives as their religion dictates and it is everyone else who must get a brain and realize what a preposterous notion it really is.

I support your views, Friend. I would extend them to the point I would like preachers of all religions to stay silent for at least one minute a day to ponder what crimes they are going to recommend next to their listeners in awe. What we consider Muslim "hatred" against us is equally well balanced by hideous ignorance and obscurity coming from our side. We all strive for peace, and decent people will have some day to unite in order to ignore warmongers and proceed to more positive occupations than casting insults to other good-willed people.

GIVE ME A BREAK......REGULAR MUSLIMS IN THE U.S. ARE GOING TO SAY THAT. THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE TRAGEDY. THE PROBLEM IS THAT A VERY SMALL ALMOST INSIGNIFICANT MINORITY OF THE CLERICS HAVE CONDEMNED THE ACTIONS OF THE TERRORISTS OR, IF THEY DO, THERE IS ALWAYS THE SIGNIFICANT CAVEAT OF DAMNING THE U.S. FOR ANY OF OUR ACTIONS. I HAVE ARGUED THESE POINTS WITH MANY MUSLIMS FRIENDS AND IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO WHAT THE OTHER SIDE HAS DONE TO THEM. I HAVE YET TO MEET ONE WHO AGREES THAT THEIR ADVERSARIES HAVE ANY RIGHT POINT OF VIEW. MAYBE THEREIN LIES THE PROBLEM.

If you want to ask a question then ask. You've made a statement, and one that does not merit a response at that.
