Like a few lines before the National Anthem is finished, people start to cheer..Why do they do that and where did that originate?

I couldn't say when it started but I am with you stand still until after the last note then applaud and cheer never before I have too much respect for the song to do that.

That's because baseball fans don't know the words to the National Anthem and they probably don't care either they only care about the beer & hot dogs.

They,We do this because the event is about to start.Plus everybody probably loves there country and they think this is a way to show it
