I got my Nintendo DS Lite about three months ago and I only have three games. They are Super Mario 64 DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, and Final Fantasy III (the remake). In my opinion, only Final Fantasy III is great and Metroid Prime Hunters is OK. Does anybody have any recommendations of other games worth buying?

harvest moon DS is a good game - it's a farming simulation, but most rpg players rather like it
children of mana is from a series that is an early offshoot of final fantasy. it's more action based, but it's a great series - i'm sure the DS version is good (i haven't unsealed mine)
rocket slime, dragonquest heroes - extraordinary series, been around longer than final fantasy, and hasn't disappointed. i hear this one is very addicting. (i haven't unsealed mine..)
dragon quest IX is coming out sometime next year, something to look forward to
mario: partners in time was a fun mario based rpg - good puzzles in there too
trauma center: under the knife - that game was fun, until i got far enough that i couldn't beat a stage, then it just got frustrating.
zelda: phantom hourglass looks awesome, but it isn't even announced when it'll be released

do not neglect that the DS can play GBA games. there are great titles, like final fantasy IV advance, zelda: link to past, golden suns, i could go on...

I'd recommend New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Yoshi's Island DS, and possibly some of the new Pokemon games if you're in to the Pokemon ser. If you're in doubt about what games to get for the DS, I'd recommend just going over to gamespot.com and searching through the DS games that you think would be interesting to you.

I actually have two good suggestions. my first is "new Mario" this brought me back to better days and added more to the memory of Mario. There are more power-ups and fun levels. My second suggestion is Sims 2. this is a little different than other Sims games. in this you control a hotel but you don't get to design the hotel. you go out and do missions for the people and stop aliens from attacking. Both are fun and I would recommend them for 12 or older.

mario kart ds trust me, this game is tha bes game on ds its wifi so u can play online wit ur frends
another game is new super mario bros good graphics long story classic renewed its awesum and the mini games r really fun also if ur bord
metroid prime hunters is okk LONG story fun multiplayer

children of mana is good. btw final fantasy isn't technacally a remake because it never made it to the united states.

pokemon is good if you have friends that play it to and kingdom heart 358/2 days is a good game took me like 2 weeks to beat i think
