Well, they both got a mention in the New Year's honours, presumably for services to music. I think you'll be disappointed if you want them to be knighted though.

Rod Stewart left England in the 1970s to evade tax and hasn't really done anything apart from shag blonde birds.

As for Ringo Starr, it's like Geldof, Bono and Co, only the frontmen of these bands get the knighthood, that has always puzzled me because I personally think the whole band should get it.

Posh Spice may become Lady Beckham who knows (they have the money to pay for it - tee-hee)

Ollie Reed should have won some recognition but it's all about £££££££

surely a knighthood should be for genuine people who have overcome personal tragedies or have made life better for others, not people who have made lots of money
