Well the first part is major in what way.

If it is for marketing recognizability, I'd say for Marvel it is Spider-Man for DC it is Superman. Why? Recognizability and bright primary colors. Spider-Man when you think of it does kid like things (runs, jumps, swings, cracks jokes) while Superman is pure wish fulfillment (flight, not getting hurt, strong).

Now if you are talking about iconic:

For Marvel I'd say Captain America both for longevity and for being a political statement in human form. He has changed over the years to conform to the state of the American people. In the 40's a soldier, the 50's bashing Communists, in the 60's spy adventure, 70's disillusionment, right to the 00's where he treads the fragile state of the post 9-11 world.

For DC I'd say Batman. Superman was handed everything, Batman had to work for his abilities and make a decision to work outside of the law. He was one of the first anti-heroes before such a term came into vogue with movies like Bonnie and Clyde and characters like Wolverine.

i do not supply a crap about christopher nolan or whoever. All i understand is that I watched the darkish Knight and it change into the perfect action picture I easily have ever watched. I watched it like 5 cases already and that i might want to visual demonstrate unit it lower back and lower back and lower back and laugh at each shaggy dog tale, get chills at each climax and marvel at each twist (no pun meant). The characters were great, the writing change into remarkable (i'm a author I might want to understand), the suspense change into significant, the jokes were humorous, the action change into wild. It change into mind-blowing and it truly is a classic in my e book in evaluation to the different crap that those so noted as geniuses of the widespread global concoct. And have self assurance me, i'm not the kinda female who supplies credit the position this is not due. If i imagine something is crap it frequently is. The darkish Knight confirmed a particular genius. It had a particular high quality that you received't locate in the different movie. i can't wait to ascertain if the darkish Knight Rises will suitable it. i wish so. perhaps then i am going to offer a crap about Chris Nolan.

In my opinion, the superhero who stands out more is none other than Batman. He may not have super strength like Superman or the amazing agility like Spiderman but he is one heck of a human being. Batman, in terms, can be described as a modern day "American Ninja" if you want to call it that. With the fancy gadgets, martial arts skill and on the otherside playing the role of a playboy, his life is nothing but a story which molds his character for the good and bad.
