Although I read this book many years ago it is still my favorite:
"Watership Down."
Now this may sound silly but the book is about rabbits and how they see the world from their point of view. Some parts are funny. At one point a rabbit talks about the "one eyed monster". Later on another rabbit talks about the awful growl the one eyed monster makes. Later on still two rabbits are standing by the long tracks of the one eyed monster. After a bit more reading you will understand that the "One eyed growling monster with it's long tracks is actually a train."
Another good book I ready is titled "The Legend of Bagger Vance"
I know this book has been made into a movie but the book is far better.
Of course both of these books are fantasy books, fictional, so if you don't like fictional tales you may not like these books.
