Why and how we dream is one of the great mysteries of science and medicine. It is clear that our minds keep on creating images and thoughts while we are physically asleep. They also seem to make connections and come to conclusions that we normally do not expeirence while we are awake.

The second part of the question is even more fascinating:
Yes, evidently dreams "lead to conclusions", as you ask. There are many known examples of creative persons claiming that they have solved problems or created inventions or great music, poetry or art after dreaming them. There may be some link to waking creativity as well. When we have a problem, perhaps it is a good idea to "sleep on it", allowing the unconscious mind to come to new solutions that we could not see for all our waking efforts.

Of course, this does not occur every time, or in every dream. /but it happens often enough to be fascinating scientists for centuries.

Dreams lead to No conclusions at all! Dreams are just dreams and no such valid interpretations found till the day. Dreams are only our unfulfilled desires & Modified anxieties and fears..nothing else. And though there is some meaning to it..if at all..i fear how our fragmented little human minds can comprehend and interprete it? We are a small creature in the ever expanding Universal system..like a ant at the bottom of Everest evaluating everything with its tiny-brain! Float in to the Life with utmost Trust. And there is No Final answers from science for these such intangible-subjective experiences!

Your question is very unclear. What do you mean by "lead to any conclusion"?

Do you mean do they have resolved endings? Rarely, but sometimes. Tell us about the person who dreamt them? Yes, but only if you're careful. Lead us to come to conclusions? Depends.

Dreaming is both physiological and psychological (we process what's been happening in our lives lately). (As for the why and how, which also aren't very clear questions.)

When you're asleep, your brain becomes active, with a lot of mostly random firings, which another part of your brains puts together into stories.

If you don't dream (you're prevented from dreaming), it's very bad for you.

If you really have a question, figure out what it is, and ask it.

It's impossible to know what, if anything, you're asking.
