Fine very soft light colored leather most likely you are not going to be able to remove the stain.
You can try a product called spot remover available at a shoe repair store. But if the leather is light it can cause a spot.
If the spot can not be removed ask about having the bag re-dyed a darker color to hide it.
With leather you can dye darker than the original color and cover stains quite effectively.

Plain kitty litter is the same thing that's sold in the auto parts store as "Oil-Dri" - it's diatomaceous earth. Don't used scented or treated Kitty Litter - get the plain stuff. You can crunch it up in your hand to a finer powder state, then press it to the oily stain part. It will soak out some of the oil overnight. Brush it away, then repeat, perhaps several times. Should get it.

baby powder or bath powder will absorb the oil to a point but it takes several times of leaving it on the stain for hours then brushing it off with a old toothbrush. it might work. do not use water on your leather! good luck.
