Do they ever broadcast this sort of thing in your country or is it hushed up\brushed under the carpet because it might damage national pride?

Educated Americans are aware of this. It is not 'hushed up,' but it is not broadcast daily either.

I refuse to live my life in a state of fear . I fear no man whatever happens ,happens and there is nothing I can do to change that God is in charge .
